Rajgir

Rajgir, located in Nalanda district of Bihar, is one of India’s most historically and culturally significant destinations. Surrounded by scenic hills, Rajgir was the ancient capital of the Magadha Kingdom and is closely associated with Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism.

The city is famous for places such as Griddhakuta (Vulture’s Peak), Venu Vana, Rajgir Hot Springs, Jarasandha’s Akhara, Cyclopean Wall, and the Vishwa Shanti Stupa. Lord Buddha spent several years here and delivered important teachings, while Jain traditions associate Rajgir with Lord Mahavira.

Today, Rajgir is a popular destination for history, spirituality, pilgrimage, nature, and tourism, offering a unique combination of ancient heritage, beautiful hills, forests, hot springs, and modern attractions such as the Nature Safari and Glass Sky Walk.
